My dog is my hero
One night in July my German Shepherd dog was in my bedroom barking, it was a different kind of bark and I knew something was wrong. I immediately jumped out of bed and to my surprise my bedroom was bright orange and very warm. I looked out my back window and saw that my shed was on fire! I of course called 911 - but in the meantime my fence and neighbors shed was on fire too. The whole backside of my house is vinyl siding and was melted very badly, along with some windows that needed replaced. If it was not for my dog, it could have been a lot worse. Not only is he my hero, he is a great companion and spoiled rotten.

Great story GSD Lover! I have a question - does anybody know the difference in a kill shelter vs. a no kill shelter? I would like to donate money to the shelter that needs it the most. I believe a no kill shelter allows only so many pets, after the limited number of pets - the other pets go to a kill shelter???
